The short answer is no. The longer answer is “it depends on the dog”. Dogs are not all alike, just as their owners are not all alike. If you are a first time dog owner, for example, the dog training schools would be a great investment for YOU, and possibly the dog. Unlike children, dogs tend to love dog training schools, because they learn fun things, get a lot of attention and get to sniff other dogs. My first dog was a senior citizen and already impeccably trained. My second and current dog, Pony, has lived with me since she was seven weeks old. Since I telecommute, she gets to interact a lot with her pack – me and my Mother. But, if I had adopted a previously abused dog who had no idea how to behave in a normal home, then I would need the help offered from dog training schools.
