Do All Dogs Need Dog Training Schools? By boozam
The short answer is no. The longer answer is “it depends on the dog”. Dogs are not all alike, just as their owners are not all alike. If you are a first time dog owner, for example, the dog training schools would be a great investment for YOU, and possibly the dog. Unlike children, dogs tend to love dog training schools, because they learn fun things, get a lot of attention and get to sniff other dogs.
When To Look For A School
I, personally, have never needed to use dog training schools (knock on wood). However, I’ve been blessed by the Canine Fairy. My first dog was a senior citizen and already impeccably trained. My second and current dog, Pony, has lived with me since she was seven weeks old. Since I telecommute, she gets to interact a lot with her pack – me and my Mother.
But, if I had adopted a previously abused dog who had no idea how to behave in a normal home, then I would need the help offered from dog training schools. If you work outside the home, or suddenly your home life changes and you can’t spend as much time with the dog, then you should also consider dog training schools. This is especially important if the dog develops a problem like destroying the house when you are gone. Some dogs also have had bad “puppyhoods” and literally will not know how to act with other dogs. Going to dog training schools can ease both the dig’s fears and your own.
Some Things To Consider
You are highly encouraged to sit and watch a class at any dog training schools you are thinking of giving your money to. In this way, you get to see the trainer’s style. Some are far more physical and commanding than others. Sometimes, this is just what a dog needs. But you know your dog best. If you feel doubtful, find another dog training school. You can find them through your vet, the yellow pages and by asking the owners of really well behaved dogs.
